Members have shared a strong set of annual and thematic publications in recent weeks, alongside the third edition of the Africa Regional Committee Bulletin. Together, they show sustained progress on coverage, resolution readiness and public awareness.
FGDR France publishes its 2025 Annual Report
The Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution has released its 2025 activity report. The FGDR holds €7.7 billion in resources across the four guarantee mechanisms it manages, in line with the European Union target for France of 0.5% of covered deposits – a level reached by the end of 2023.
As at 31 December 2025, the FGDR counted 1,134 members across its schemes and the fonds de résolution national: 323 in the deposit guarantee scheme, 289 in investor compensation, 252 in performance bonds, 684 in asset management services and 87 in the national resolution fund.
CDIC Chinese Taipei shares its 2025 Sustainability Summary Report
The Central Deposit Insurance Corporation has prepared sustainability reports since 2022. The 2025 edition sets out progress against four goals: accountable governance, sustainable environment, financial inclusion and friendly workplace.
The report follows the 2021 GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards and draws on the FSB Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures recommendations.
IPAB Mexico releases its 2025 Annual Report
The Institute for the Protection of Bank Savings has published a detailed account of its 2025 work, covering reimbursement of covered deposits, resolution planning and financial resource management.
The report reflects IPAB’s commitment to institutional preparedness, technological modernisation and alignment with international best practice.
Africa Regional Committee publishes its third Bulletin
The June 2026 ARC Bulletin brings together updates from member institutions across the region. Highlights include:
- Dr Julia C. Oyet was confirmed for a second term as ARC Chairperson.
- Malawi: DIC set the insured deposit limit at K3.0 million (about USD 1,667) per depositor per member bank in January 2026, lifting the share of fully protected depositors from 92.7% to 94.4%.
- Ghana: The GDP (Amendment) Bill, 2025, passed in March 2026, extending GDPC’s mandate to cover electronic money, receivership functions, emergency funding and the power to issue directives.
- Zimbabwe: The Deposit Protection Fund grew from USD 5.7 million in 2022 to USD 38.16 million by March 2026, with a projection of roughly USD 48 million by year-end.
- Kenya: KDIC completed a corporation-wide crisis simulation exercise and advanced a Single Customer View framework to speed up depositor compensation.
- Angola: FGD launched the development phase of its Integrated Management System on 11 May 2026.
