The IADI Analysis and Policy Joint Technical Gathering will take place in person at the BIS headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, on Tuesday, 1 December 2026. A virtual participation option will also be available.
The gathering will bring together members of IADI’s Analysis and Policy Council Committees, Technical Committees and Technical Working Group to exchange experiences and discuss current and future work.
The programme will comprise the following sessions:
- Reimbursement Technical Committee – technical elements supporting the update of the 2012 IADI Reimbursement Guidance Papers;
- Fintech Technical Committee – public awareness of deposit coverage rules relating to digital products, stablecoins, tokenised deposits and the Committee’s 2027 workplan;
- Resolution Technical Committee – information sharing, coordination and cooperation between deposit insurers and resolution authorities, as well as the Committee’s 2027 workplan;
- Differential Coverage Technical Working Group – further development of the analytical report and discussion of survey results and draft case studies; and
- Feedback session to the Analysis and Policy Council Committees – reflections from the Technical Committee and Working Group Chairpersons on the day’s discussions and priorities.
The Joint Technical Gathering will be held back-to-back with the Resolution Conference 2026. Participants in the Joint Technical Gathering may also register for the Resolution Conference.
Participation arrangements
Room capacity is limited. In-person participation in the respective committee meetings will be prioritised for Members of the following Committees and Working Group:
- Reimbursement Technical Committee;
- Resolution Technical Committee;
- Fintech Technical Committee;
- Differential Coverage Technical Working Group; and
- Analysis and Policy Council Committees, for the feedback session.
IADI Member delegates who are not Members of the above Committees or Working Group may register to observe the committee meetings. They will be informed after registration closes whether room capacity permits their attendance.

Online registration is open. To support event preparations and participants’ travel arrangements, please complete the registration process by 6 November 2026.
Participants who are not speakers at the Resolution Conference should follow these instructions:
- On Step 2, select the registration type “Attendee”.
- Continue with the registration process as instructed.
If you have not previously registered for a BIS event, you will need to create a new account before proceeding.
Early registration is encouraged, as events may reach maximum capacity before the registration deadline.
