Deposit insurance systems around the world are continuously evolving. To provide an updated perspective, IADI has published its Deposit Insurance in 2026 – Global Trends Report. This detailed study offers a global analysis of the development of deposit insurance frameworks, based on data from 114 deposit insurers collected through the 2025 IADI Annual Survey.
The report explores critical elements of deposit insurance systems, including institutional mandates, roles in resolution processes, reimbursement timelines, coverage limits, and fund sizes. It also highlights how these features have evolved over the past decade.
