KDIC Asia Pacific Forum
The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) hosted the “2025 KDIC Asia-Pacific Forum: Building a Resilient Financial Future” in March, focusing on investor compensation schemes.
The Forum fostered meaningful dialogue on enhancing investor protection, drawing on experiences from countries such as Japan and France.

Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution (FGDR) 2024 Annual Report
The Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution (French deposit insurance and resolution fund, FGDR) is pleased to share its 2024 Annual Report.
The FGDR’s financial resources dedicated to guaranteeing deposits are in line with the target set by the European Union for France of 0.5% of covered deposits – a target already achieved by the end of 2023.
The FGDR has €7.7 billion in resources available for the four guarantee mechanisms it manages. As of 31 December 2024, the FGDR had 1,157 members participating in one or more of its guarantee mechanisms or in the National Resolution Fund.
Virgin Islands Deposit Insurance Corporation
The Virgin Islands Deposit Insurance Corporation (VDIC) has announced a significant opportunity within their organisation. The closing date for applications is 24 July 2025.
Public Consultations
The consultation on the revised Core Principles for Effective Deposit Insurance Systems ended on 14 July. For those who missed the global webinar, a recording is available here.
Please note that the consultation on the Policy Options for E-money and Deposit Insurance remains open and will close on 31 July 2025. Kindly share the document with any interested parties.
Digitalisation Webinars
IADI has identified financial innovation and digitalisation as key priorities in its workplan, focusing on their risks, opportunities, and policy implications for deposit insurance systems. To gather input, IADI is organising a series of webinars featuring experts, policymakers, and academics. Insights from these discussions will inform a report to the IADI Executive Council and guide future initiatives in this area.
