IADI Core Principles Practitioners Workshop

25 July - 29 July 2022

IADI Core Principles Practitioners Workshop

The Training and Technical Assistance Council Committee (TTAC), the Capacity Building Technical Committee (CBTC) and the IADI Secretariat Training and Capacity Building Unit (TCBU) are inviting interested IADI Members to nominate individuals to attend the first Core Principles Practitioners Workshop.

The Practitioners Workshop is the first stage of the Expert Training Strategy approved by TTAC in 2019. The Strategy provides a structured and standardized training program for individuals to become experts in understanding, using and assessing the IADI Core Principles for Effective Deposit Insurance Systems.

The Practitioners Workshop is a prerequisite for those interested in participating in the Expert Training Working Group and the Expert Workshop, the second and third stages of the Strategy. Participants who finish all stages of the Strategy will strengthen IADI’s Core Principles Expert roster and contribute to advancing IADI’s Strategic Goals of providing Members with technical support to modernise and upgrade their systems and promoting compliance with the Core Principles.

The Practitioners Workshop can also be used as a stand-alone course for Members to develop in-house knowledge and understanding of the Core Principles.

The Practitioners Workshop is facilitated by Lead Core Principles Experts and Core Principles Experts utilizing exercises, as well as lectures and group discussions, to examine each Core Principle and its Essential Criteria. It is expected that this workshop will be held biennially, in alternating years with the Expert Workshop.

The pilot test is open to a limited number of participants, so we ask you to rank your nominees in the attached Expression of Interest (EOI) in case we get too many applicants. Successful participants will be notified of next steps in the confirmation email, including registration details.

If staff in your jurisdiction is interested, please complete the EOI by COB 6 June 2022 and return to Eugenia.Alamillo@iadi.orgasinopole@fdic.gov and Karen.Gibbons@fscs.org.uk and cc the following: Taurai.Togarepi@iadi.org, ryoussef@FDIC.gov, egarnett@fdic.gov and kbinder@fdic.gov
