IADI Policy Brief No. 8 – Uninsured Deposits: Relevance and Evolution Over Time
This paper by Bert Van Roosebeke, Ryan Defina and Tri Wahyuni (all from the IADI Secretariat Research Unit) aims to inform discussions by presenting global data on the prevalence of uncovered depositors and deposits. Using IADI's multi-year deposit insurance data repository, we present trends in uninsured depositors and deposits as they relate to more or less advanced economies, to deposit insurers with different mandates, and across a range of regions.
