IADI Executive Training Program

Date: July 2007

Location: FDIC Seidman Center, Arlington Virginia

IADI Executive Training Program

IADI Members attended the first Executives Training Pilot Program hosted by the FDIC at the FDIC Seidman Training Center in Washington, DC.  This first-of-its-kind program was held from 23-26 July 2007 and provided opportunities for participants to learn about designing, organizing, governing and continuously improving a deposit insurance system. In addition, the program included a special focus on Claims and Recoveries. The goal of the four-day program was to share experiences and learn from others.  Evaluations from the participants confirmed that the training program met the expectations of the participants and that the format and structure of the program should be continued in IADI’s future training seminars.

Date: July and September 2008

The TCC sponsored two sessions addressing “Resolutions Management: Principles and Best Practices.” The IADI paper on “General Guidance for the Resolution of Bank Failures” was used as the foundation for the training program.  The format for the training consisted of panel presentations, case presentations and small breakout groups.  IADI members volunteered to speak at both sessions.  The sessions were held 7-10 July (Washington, DC) and 1-4 September (Taipei, Taiwan).  Eighty staff from IADI member organizations and invited guests representing over 20 countries attended these two sessions.  Overall satisfaction surveys from the attendees indicated that the seminar met their expectations and were very complimentary of the program content.
